Does prayer change anything?

Posted: 11 May 2018

This Sunday we're continuing our series on prayer, looking at whether it really changes anything. Some people argue that the only thing prayer changes is the prayer itself.

Others suggest that prayer changes God, and unhelpfully use it as some kind of stick thinking they can force God's hand.

So here's the question: does prayer change anything?

It's a...

The Power of Prayer

Posted: 04 May 2018

Prayer is the great privilege of every one of God’s children. We pray when we come to our heavenly father to ask him to do what only he can do. It's based on the assumption that he is both willing and able to help us. Perhaps our slowness to pray reflects our underlying doubts about God’s power and generosity.

Join us this May as we see God for who he...

The Joy of Love

Posted: 27 April 2018

The way we view something determines how we will see it. If we are pessimistic then we will see only the worst. If we are optimistic we will see only the best. But how does the Bible teach us how to view the world? And if I view the world the way the Bible shows me, then how does that make a difference to my life?

This Sunday we are digging into another...

Discerning Love

Posted: 20 April 2018

We value both truth and love. But sometimes they seem in conflict. We can be tempted to privilege one over another or set aside one for the sake of the other. But the Bible calls us to live in truth and love. How do I do that? How do I live in truth and love?

Join us this Sunday as we look at the often forgotten book of 2 John. This book is short (fewer...

Announcement regarding property

It brings me great delight to announce that the Parish Council have selected Neeson Murcutt to be our architects as we work towards a master plan for our site. As you would have heard at the AGM and read in the 2017 Annual Report (p.30-31) this is a key step for us as a church.

Easter is a Christian holiday. It's not just a holiday to enjoy some time out in God's world, it's a holy day (special day) to enjoy the salvation and life Jesus won for us by dying and rising to life.

This Easter we've got an amazing Friday and Sunday planned with hot cross buns, live jazz, even a night out at The Soda Factory.

Easter 2018

Posted: 16 March 2018

It’s been said that Christianity is the only religion whose God bears the scars of evil. Easter tells us that God hasn’t abandoned our world. In our own history, he sent his son Jesus to suffer and die because he loves us. And he rose to life to give us a hope that cannot be disappointed by death.

Join us this Easter as we look at the ultimate love and...
