A cause to live for

Posted: 30 October 2015 / Revelation 12

War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning is a best-selling book by Chris Hedges, a New York Times war correspondent and journalist. In it, Hedges tries to explain why he became so addicted to war that he could not live without it. He writes:

"Only when we are in the midst of conflict does the shallowness and vapidness of much of our lives become apparent. Trivia dominates our conversations and increasingly our airways. And war is an enticing elixir. It gives us resolve, a cause. It allows us to be noble."

This Sunday we are continuing our series on living life with purpose by looking at how you and I were created to live for a cause bigger than ourselves. Why not have a read of Revelation 12 before you come this Sunday and start thinking through how that vision of ultimate reality should affect our lives.

Can't wait to see you there.

P.S. Don't forget Man Camp and the Women's Dessert Night both start tonight. If you want more info, don't hesitate to contact me.
