Join us for Easter!

Posted: 24 March 2021

Life is a challenge, with or without a pandemic. And we all make mistakes. We're human, right? God cares about our struggles and sent His son Jesus to conquer death -- not to guilt us into living moral lives, extract our money, or give us peace about dying, but to bridge a relationship with regular, imperfect humans. and one day heal the world of all brokenness.

It's great news! Join us this Easter to hear more.

Please note we are meeting at The Whitehouse Institute of Design, 2 Short St Surry Hills while our heritage site undergoes renovations!

All services will be livestreamed here at our YouTube Channel

Good Friday – 9.30am

On Good Friday we're asking the question: Why is there so much suffering?

Whatever the particular struggle we face, the question of suffering is one of the toughest of all and often the biggest hurdle to faith in God. Our very natural response is to ask, ‘Why?’ when we are faced with the experience abuse, pandemics, loneliness, illness, aging, conflict or loss. ‘Why do these things happen?’ And if God exists, why hasn’t he done anything about it?

Join us from 9.30am on level 5 of the Whitehouse. After the service we'll be having hot cross buns on the Hill St Deck.

Kids Program Information:
Our Vine Kids program will be running from 9.15am. Kids are supervised in a fun and safe environment with leaders who have all been screened and registered. Creche (+6 months) and Preschool (2+) meet on Level 4 of the Whitehouse Institute of Design. Our Primary program (K-6) meets in our previous church building on the corner of Flinders & Albion St. Drop your kids off early and join us on level 5!

Easter Sunday – 9.15am, 11am and 4.30pm

On Easter Sunday we're asking the question: God, why don't you make yourself clearer?

In a world of chaos and conflicting spiritual and philosophical claims, you’d think God would simply prove beyond all reasonable doubt that he exists? No questions. No ambiguities. No contradictory evidence. Just clear, obvious, proof. Can the divine be brought into focus? What clarity, if any, does Jesus’ teachings provide in the chaos and confusion.

After our Easter Sunday services we'll be having great food on the Hill St deck. We'd love you to stick around after the service and celebrate with us!

Kids Program Information (9.15am only)
Our 9.15am service will have Vine Kids starting from 9am. Creche and preschool meet on level 4 of the Whitehouse Institute, and our primary program meets in our previous church building on the corner of Flinders & Albion. Drop your kids off before the service and join us on level 5! The kids will have an Easter egg hunt as part of their kids programs.
