On Friday night, around 40 women gathered in the church hall at St Michael's for the inaugural Ignite evening. A beautiful space was created for conversations that encouraged vision and ideas. We started to think and pray for the year ahead over an amazing dinner.
Carmen inspired us by sharing how God grew her through a difficult time; she shared that it was God's grace that gave her confidence and assurance when the world was letting her down. Esther opened Romans 12 with us and helped us to see God's grace in renewing our minds and in giving us gifts for His glory through service.
Fruitful discussions helped us identify some areas in which God might be prompting us to use our gifts to address the needs around us and at Vine Church. It was such an encouraging night as we were able to see the many ways God is already working through the women at church and the ways in which He will use us this year. These groups will gather again informally to pick up the ideas that were raised in order to pray and action some of them – the details will be posted in the Women at Vine Facebook group in case you would like to get involved.
