Making a difference in the world

Posted: 06 November 2015 / Revelation 21

"The quality of a culture may be changed when two percent of its people have a new vision."
— Robert Bellah

Over the past 4 weeks we’ve been asking God to give us a new vision and to show us the purpose of life and our church. Each week, we’ve seen a vision of heaven and earth, and how you and I are engaged in a great spiritual conflict in which we fight by holding on to Jesus and telling people about him.

This week is our final in the series, and we’re looking at the final vision in Revelation — the vision of heaven (Revelation 21). And what we are going to see is that, if our lives are heading toward a great day in which God will gather his people for a world of no death or pain or tears, then that will change our lives. It will give our lives direction and we will realise that we can make a difference in the world which will have eternal significance.

So start praying that Vine Church and St Michael's would be the two percent who are filled with a new vision, and go and change the lives of many in our city.
