Most people think the Christmas message is about peace, joy and all that stuff. It's not that they're opposed to it, but it doesn't grip them or change them. It's just a bit… kitsch.
It has been said that "kitsch" is art without seriousness; art that is cute and doesn't make you think. But Christmas is not cute. It's serious and it’s wonderful. It's about peace for a divided world, hope for a dying world, and joy for a weary world.
