From weekly dance and fitness classes, to weddings, and one-off social or corporate functions, Vine Church offers a beautiful and contemporary venue conveniently located in Surry Hills — an inner-city suburb of Sydney.

We have six boutique and newly renovated spaces to suit your needs! 

Hall

A large open and multipurpose space with incredible natural light. 
Suitable for:  Dance & fitness classes, school or community group functions and seminars.
Capacity: 80 people (Dining); 100 people (Theatre)
Facilities: Kitchen access, bathroom, tables (10), chairs (72), ballet barre, mirrors and air conditioning.
Fee: $75/hour
Availability: Monday-Saturday, 5am-midnight

Foyer

Beautifully designed open-plan, all-weather, multi-function space.
Suitable for:  Functions and parties — or as a breakout space for the hall, church auditorium or garden.
Capacity: 70 standing, 40 seated
Facilities: Kitchen access, bathroom, tables, chairs, and air conditioning.
Fee: $75/hour 
Availability: Monday-Saturday, 5am-midnight
 
 

Church

A modern church auditorium, with historic charm and live-stream technology. 
Suitable for:  Music performances, seminars and weddings. 
Capacity: 180 people 
Facilities: Kitchen access, bathroom, tables (8), pews/chairs (120 seats), AV equipment, air conditioning, hearing loop, wheelchair accessible and pram friendly entrances
Fee: Please submit your enquiry
Availability: Monday-Saturday, 5am-midnight.
The Church Auditorium is available for film shoots.

Meeting Room

Comfortable and modern lounge and boardroom.
Suitable for:  Small group meetings. These spaces can be hired separately or together as they care conjoined rooms. 
Capacity: 10 people 
Facilities: 10 seater boardroom table, 2 x 2.5 seater sofas, 2 x arm chairs, Kitchen access, whiteboard, TV and air conditioning.
Fee: $40/hour 
Availability: Monday-Saturday, 5am-midnight

Garden

Beautifully landscaped with children’s play equipment.
Suitable for:  Outdoor functions and kids parties
Capacity:  150 people 
Facilities:  Kitchen access, bathroom, tables , chairs (72), BBQ
Fee: $75/hour 
Availability: Monday-Saturday, 5am-midnight
 

Kitchen

Large commercial quality and purpose-built kitchen.  
Suitable for:  Access to the kitchen comes with each booking or can be hired out individually for your catering needs.
Capacity:  8 people 
Facilities:  Large benches, Coffee Machine (2 group), Fisher & Paykel 76cm Pyrolytic Ovens x 2,  Hobart ECOMAX 504 Dishwasher,  Zip HydroTap with Boiling, Chilled & Sparkling Water and Gas Burners x 2
, Stove, Fridge, Bench spcae, coffee machine
Fee: $20/hour in combination with a booking of another space or $40/hour 
Availability: Monday-Saturday, 5am-midnight

FAQs about bookings:

Yes. All hires are required to have valid Public Liability Insurance. You must submit your Certificate of Currency before we can confirm your booking. 

Alternatively, Ansvar Insurance provides policies for individuals seeking to hire for personal or community events here. Click here for One-off Hirers Public Liability Insurance

Yes. A 20% discount on the hire fee is provided for recurring bookings.

Yes. A 25% discount on the hire fee is provided for Vine Church members.

Vine Church is centrally located in City of Sydney, within walking distance of Central train station (Sydney CBD), and is accessible by several bus routes along Flinders St (route 330, 374, 376 and 391).

There is no onsite parking available. 

There is plenty of street parking available. Alternatively you can park at St Margarets Car Park at a cost or there is metered on-street parking.

There is no parking available onsite for organisers or guests.

We can make available one car space for deliveries during bump in and bump out only. Please speak to Bookings Manager for more information.

All one-off bookings or large events may be required to have a Site Manager and Cleaner. Please discuss with our Bookings Manager. 

These are the licensing rules you will need to agree to if you would like to hold your next event at Vine Church. 

Yes. You are welcome to come check out the space before you sign the licence agreement. Please arrange this with our Bookings Manager.

Weddings

A beautiful and charming venue, Vine Church makes it the perfect choice for a contemporary wedding. 

Our staff are available to conduct your marriage, following the wedding rites of the Anglican tradition.
