Find a community of people who will help you grow as a Christian
At Vine Church we believe that the Christian life is one best lived in community with others. A Community Group is a gathering of people from Vine Church that get together each week to seek God, love one another and serve the city. We would love you to come along.
Why belong to a Community Group?
We gather in Community Groups with our friends and neighbours to live life together and experience God and his story in ways we can’t on our own. These are smaller groups of people from church that meet each week over a meal (or coffee), to study the Bible, love and pray for each other. As a community shaped by the gospel, they are a place where we can laugh, cry, work and play together for the glory of Jesus.
“But God has put the body together... its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.” — 1 Corinthians 12:24b-26
Pray Together
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” — Colossians 4:2
Study the Bible Together
“So that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” — Ephesians 4:12-13.
What to expect
Community Groups are small groups of people who meet together weekly in people’s houses all around Sydney, for a meal or coffee, to study God’s word, pray together and care for one another under the leadership of mature Christians.
How to join a group
Community Groups are such an important part of life at Vine Church. Therefore we ask everyone to go through Onboard before joining a Community Group. We believe this is the best way you can get to know who we are and what makes our church tick, before you commit to joining us on mission.
If you are following Jesus and new to Vine Church, come to the next Onboard. At this there will be an opportunity to find a Community Group.
