Next Life Series: Tuesday, April 23 at 7pm

What is the Life Series all about?

Have you considered the meaning of life and the claims made by Jesus in the bible?

Jesus is the most significant figure in all history! And if the claims made about him are true, it will have a massive impact on our lives today… and for eternity.

Life is a three part series held over three evening sessions that includes good food, drinks, an engaging talk about Jesus and the Bible, and the opportunity for discussion. It’s a relaxed time with absolutely no pressure. You will not be put on the spot to speak or share. You’re free to contribute and ask your questions, or sit back and listen. You will not be asked to pray, sing, or share.

Everyone is welcome!
Whether you’re sceptic about the things of faith or been around church for ages but unsure about whether the claims of Christianity are believable, then the Life series is for you.

You don’t need to RSVP, but it does help us out a little with catering. It’s all completely free too.

Join us for one or all three sessions of the Life Series.

Each session starts at 7pm includes, drinks and nibbles, an engaging talk and discussion.

SESSION ONE - April 23

Explore Life

What’s the big deal about the meaning of life? What are the hottest theories on life’s purpose, and how do they shape our own perspectives?
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to
the full.” — Jesus Christ
“An examined life should be able to give an account of evil that is realistic in its diagnosis, hopeful in its remedy, and practical in offering solid grounds for both courage and comfort in facing evil.”
— Os Guinness

SESSION TWO - April 30

Discover Love

Why do we crave love and connection? How does this desire influence our relationships and sense of self?

“If God is dead, somebody is going to have to take his place.  It will be either megalomania or erotomania, the drive for power or the drive for pleasure, Hitler or Hugh Hefner.” — Malcolm Muggeridge (British journalist)
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”  The Bible

SESSION THREE - May 7

Find Freedom

What does it really mean to be free? How do different ideas of freedom affect the way we live and how our society works together?
“An ideology of extreme personal freedom can be dangerous because it encourages people to leave homes, jobs, cities, and marriages in search of personal and professional fulfillment, thereby breaking the relationships that were probably their best hope for such fulfillment.” —  Jonathan Haidt (Social psychologist)
If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. — Jesus Christ
