Where to find help in times of need?
We are here to help you navigate life’s challenges
When you’re going through a hard time we’d love to walk with you, especially as you seek professional help.
When you become a Christian life does not automatically get easier. Sometimes it gets harder. The world we live in is a hostile and broken place, and we are damaged and broken people.
As Christians we are called to bear one another’s burdens. Sadly, the comfort and support friends and pastors are called on to provide has been largely outsourced to professionals. We don’t think it should be. And so, when you’re going through a hard time we’d encourage you to both talk to someone in your community group or your pastor, at the same time as seeking professional help.
Here are some helpful resources:

We'd love to help you...

Domestic Abuse
In any group of people, including churches, there will be people who unfortunately have experienced abuse – whether through family growing up, a previous or current relationship, or seeing a friend experience a controlling or abusive partner.
Keith and Sarah Condie, Co-Director’s of the Mental Health & Pastoral Care Institute, presented on this important issue at Vine Church. This presentation shares how we can recognise signs of physical, emotional and other forms of abuse, and respond well. In their talk, the Condie’s referred to Safe Ministry Resources – available here 〉〉
If you or someone you know is affected by domestic violence,
please call 1800 RESPECT (1800 737 732). In an emergency, call 000.
As part of the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney, Vine Church follows the Safe Ministry Guidelines which sets out the standards expected from our leaders, workers and volunteers, specifically as they affect children, youth and vulnerable people.
